Our Group has searched for ongoing randomised controlled trials relating to our scope in order to a) highlight topic areas already being researched using a high-level evidence design, and b) to help identify answerable questions that potentially could be addressed by Cochrane reviews in the future.

We have searched a number of sources to identify ongoing trials located in the UK and overseas: UK Clinical Trials Gateway; The Wellcome Trust  register; National Health Service Research and Development Health Technology Assessment Programme (HTA) register; Medical Research Council (UK) register; Action Medical Research register; National Research Register (archive) and Clinicaltrials.gov. Searches are updated regularly – the date of the last search was December 2008.

The ongoing trials are available to view by clicking the links below. They are grouped together by subject area according to our scope. Details relating to the title of each trial; location; anticipated completion date and unique ID are provided; along with a link to the trial’s full record in the original source.
